Rising To The Challenge

FOVNDRY provided strategic editorial guidance and led the creative direction for the development of AGU’s “Surging Waters: Science Empowering Communities in the Face of Flooding” report and associated outreach materials, which served to educate, inform, and promote AGU’s position as a policy thought leader among federal lawmakers, Congressional influencers, and the American public.

#ScienceIsEssential

Additionally, in support of AGU’s #ScienceIsEssential campaign—an integrated advocacy campaign initially launched via cause-driven infographics for a policy audience—FOVNDRY developed a policy outreach plan to strengthen AGU’s efforts to raise awareness and support for essential Earth and space science funding. This plan also included a Thunderclap webpage, a platform that increased engagement with social pages created for the cause.

The Results

AGU’s #ScienceIsEssential campaign, which FOVNDRY launched in just three weeks, earned impressive reach among target audiences:

  • 1.6 million impressions across Facebook, Twitter, and Google Display Network
  • 70 participants in the Thunderclap campaign, reaching approximately 110,000 people

Additionally, FOVNDRY was named as a 2020 Hermes Creative Awards Platinum Winner for The “Surging Waters: Science Empowering Communities in the Face of Flooding” report.
