Rockville, MD. (November 22, 2021) FOVNDRY, a Rockville, MD-based integrated communications agency— specializing in public relations, marketing and creative services—expands its team with the addition of Hallie Kay as a junior copywriter.
Kay comes to FOVNDRY with a background in writing and creative concepting, from traditional magazine journalism to e-commerce-based copywriting. Most recently, she served as a copywriter and content-creation intern at Dormify, where she maintained brand voice across multiple channels, including website, email and SMS platforms—ensuring consistency (and creative flair) in all messaging. Prior to her role at Dormify, Kay was an editorial intern at Bethesda Magazine, a lifestyle publication catering to Washington Metropolitan area residents. There, she researched, reported and wrote eight stories for the magazine.
“We’re continually on the lookout for the best and the brightest,” said Gerald Mitchell, chief creative officer at FOVNDRY. “Hallie is already ahead of the game. Her ability to switch writing styles on multiple projects without getting rattled by the moment makes her as dependable as she is likable. We’re really excited to see her flourish here.”
At FOVNDRY, Kay will develop both short- and long-form copy for collateral, as well as support senior creative staff on projects for clients across real estate, professional services, transportation and health & science industries.
Kay earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland in College Park. Always looking for a creative outlet, you find can her behind one of her SLR film cameras snapping portraits of friends or cooking gourmet meals in her home kitchen.
